Originaire de Montréal, Alexandre Gariépy a lancé l’album éponyme de LITA en février 2015 contenant les singles Aquarium et Paroles du Christ, en plus de Le plus haut plongeon en août 2019 comprenant la chanson Stéphane. Étant déjà bassiste et parolier du groupe, il échange basse et contrebasse pour la guitare pour commencer ce qui devient son projet solo, Gary sans chapeau.

Enregistré au Studio Sophronik, il s’entoure de Simon Walls pour créer son projet multi-disciplinaire « Arc-en-ciel déchu » contenant 2 EPs et un recueil de poésie. En février 2020, il dévoile Arc-en-ciel déchu I appuyé du recueil et de son premier simple Feel d’attente, bien accueilli sur les radios satellites dès le début du printemps.

Aussitôt que la crise sanitaire donne un léger moment de répit aux Québécois, Gary sans chapeau envahit les studios du quartier de Verdun pour Arc-en-ciel déchu II durant tout l’été. Souligné par le premier extrait Eux aussi, une chanson perturbée par les allures changeantes entre les guitares cinglantes et les ambiances feutrées ramenant le folk de l’avant, le deuxième volet musical du projet paraîtra le 20 novembre 2020.

From Montreal, Alexandre Gariépy launched LITA’s eponymous album in February 2015 with the singles Aquarium and Paroles du Christ, in addition to Le plus haut plongeon in August 2019 including the song Stéphane. Being already bassist and lyricist for the group, he swaps bass and double bass for the guitar to start what becomes his solo project, Gary sans chapeau.

Recorded at Studio Sophronik, he surrounds himself with Simon Walls to create his multi-disciplinary project “Arc-en-ciel déchu” containing 2 EPs and a collection of poetry. In February 2020, he unveils Fallen Arc-en-ciel I, supported by the collection and his first single Feel d’attente, well received on satellite radios at the beginning of spring.

As soon as the health crisis gave Quebecers a slight break, Gary sans chapeau invades the studio of the Verdun district for Arc-en-ciel déchu II throughout the Summer. Highlighted by the first single Eux aussi, a song disturbed by the changing paces between scathing guitars and felted atmospheres bringing folk back to the fore front, the second musical component of the project will be released on November 20, 2020.
